Road Salt One release info
“Road Salt One. Twelve tracks of sweaty gravel, asphalt butterflies, untrodden paths and brave decisions. It will not beg for your liking, it will not
make excuses, it will not carry you safely across the dangerous waters. If you don’t pick up its pace it will leave you stranded at the curb of the
road. Yes, Road Salt One might indeed be a harsh lover, but if you have the guts to follow it whole-heartedly and dare to surrender to its rhythm, it
will take you places you need to visit.”
Road Salt One (also called Ivory) is now done! It is recorded, mixed, mastered and is soon pressed. The artwork has been finalized for both the
Regular and Limited edition (see differences below), and the only task remaining right now is the artwork for the vinyl edition (it’s 1976 on
steroids, how can we not have an LP version, right?).

Interesting choice having the bonus track as the opener on the limited edition. I like the idea of having shorter track lengths on average too.

Even sooner than I expected I guess...
Hopefully the leaked version will be the limited one. Cause, I admit, I'm always too weak to wait. So why fooling myself by saying I won't download
it. But I would really like it not to leak. Gonna buy it anyhow.

I've bought every other PoS album so far, even if I have downloaded it beforehand and still play the pirated files.
I doubt Road Salt will be much different for me. If/when it leaks, I'll probably download it, and then buy it a few weeks after it comes out or
whenever I have the money.

Also the previews really remind me of Canada's The Tea Party. Same kind of hard 70s style rock with drone-y guitars and middle eastern melodies and
Zeppelin-esque tones and the occasional flirtation with pop/rock.
Considering that The Tea Party are one of my favourite bands, I'm really looking forward to hearing Road Salt.

Yes. Just my intuition. It is obvious that at leas one journal has gotten Road Salt One. And he is from Bulgaria (no racism here, just trying to point
out that Bulgaria isn't biggest PoS market for sure). Who knows how much more reviewers have promo copies. That means it's just a matter of time till
one of them uploads it or lends it to a friend etc...
My opinion, in any case.

That's quite a lengthy article to go with it. Anybody up for a translation? Google did a so-so understandable job at it... Among other things, it's
claiming that Daniel is a brain surgeon

Here's what google has to say:
"Road Salt One" (with the working title "Road Salt Ivory") includes not only the charming title track, but still very strong things, including the
opening "No Way", the grand 'Sisters' (which will be the second single) or intensive care 'Where It Hurts' (which will be to shoot the second video).
"
Where it hurts description got me laughing!
Good job Google translate!

I have a feeling Innocence is going to be a pretty epic song. With Road Salt before it, the track length, and being the final song on the disc. I hope
it as crushing as The Perfect Element or Beyond The Pale.

I'm excited for this. Very, very excited.
I've only allowed myself to listen to the samples once each, but they seem very powerful and emotional. They seem to be much different than any PoS
record thus far, yet with the PoS style to it. Of course, it's hard to say anything for sure with mere samples (especially for a PoS song), but I'm
very intrigued.
I plan on picking up the version with the extended editions and the bonus track... which I imagine the vast majority of the people here will end up
doing as well.

Man those samples sound great. This album sounds like it has real potential, and I'm glad there's an epic feel to some of these songs, because I feel
like that might have been the one thing really missing on Scarsick: some kind of epic scope. Yeah Disco Queen was a long song, but it didn't give me
the feeling of epicness, though it was pretty brilliant. And Enter Rain, every time I hear that song I have a sense of "almost but not quite!"
It probably also helps that the production on this new album sounds absolutely brilliant. I think they're heading in their best direction
production/soundwise as a band, maybe not songwriting/concept/note for note musicwise, but just, the production just gets me all giddy. Who knows, the
songwriting/concept/note for note music, could be absolutely stunning, but we won't know until the album comes out. Though I don't know much about the
concept, I gotta admit so far it seems weak compared to their first 5 albums, though that may not quite be fair especially considering it hasn't come
out yet. And honestly I don't just listen to an album for it's concept, the concept is more like a side thing "that's pretty neat."
woops, kind of rambled there. All I can say is I'm freakin excited.

like overdone? Sound great to me for now. But then again, I'm always blown away with If You Wait vocals but some people consider them to be a bit too
much.

I don't. Keeping in mind, though, I usually want to hear an entire song before judging whether 30 seconds of it is good
